Are you ready to turn your hobbies into a business?
Pair Maya archaeology with community-led wildlife conservation. At Altun Ha, explore the ceremonial plazas and temples while your guide explains the history and trade connections of the ancient city. At the Community Baboon Sanctuary, learn how local landowners protect the habitat of Belize’s black howler monkeys and listen for their powerful calls in the forest. This shared tour connects Belize’s cultural history with a living conservation story.
Altun Ha is the nearest excavated Maya Temple to Belize City and is probably the most visited by belizean school children from all over the country. This beautiful Maya Temple whose name means “Rockstone Water” has wide-open spaces.
