Palace Museum (National/Jubilee Palace of Ethiopia)
At the National Palace Museum, located inside the former Jubilee Palace of Haile Selassie I, travelers will explore one of the most elegant imperial residences in Addis Ababa. The palace is admired for its beautiful architecture and well-designed royal gardens, reflecting the grandeur of Ethiopia’s imperial era. Inside the museum, visitors will discover an extraordinary collection of the Emperor’s vintage automobiles, including custom-made Rolls Royce vehicles and the rare Amphicar, a unique car that could both drive on land and float like a boat. The museum also showcases luxurious royal possessions such as ceremonial gifts, crowns, and collections made of gold, diamonds, and ivory, offering a fascinating glimpse into the wealth, diplomacy, and lifestyle of Ethiopia’s imperial court.
