Call Of The Wild
We meet at Rock Lake, where you will be given an introduction to canoeing, as well as some information about Algonquin Park and the many animals that may be seen. You will be taught the basics skills of canoeing and we load the boats with all our camping gear and head off into the wild! We paddle across Rock Lake for about an hour and a half, and unload our canoes at the portage to Pen Lake. Here we carry all the gear and the boats to the other side of the trail, reload, and paddle off in search of a campsite. Once there we set up the tents, collect firewood, have a swim. This is an excellent area to see moose so we'll be watching the shoreline as we paddle along the lake.
