Day 1: Gondar to Sankaber (Stop at Simien Mountains National Park, Ethiopia)

We will meet you at Gondar Airport or your hotel and embark on a scenic drive along a well-paved road to the park headquarters in Debark. This journey covers approximately 100 km and takes around two hours. Upon arrival at the headquarters, we will arrange the necessary permits for entry into the park and meet our scout.
Following this, we will continue our drive for another hour before commencing our introductory hike. This first trek is an easy walk along the northern edge of the escarpment, offering stunning viewpoints over the foothills and plains of northern Ethiopia. During this hike, you may encounter Gelada baboons in their natural habitat.
