It has diverse scenery from woodlands at 3,400ft(1,036m) on the slopes of Nyambeni Mountain Range, north east of Mt. Kenya, to wide open plains with meandering riverbanks dotted with doum palms.
Game to view includes: lion, elephant, cheetah, leopard black rhino, zebra, gazelle, oryx and some of the rarer antelope, Lesser Kudu and duiker, also the more common Dik Dik, one of Africa’s smallest antelope. Meru National Park
Depart Nairobi early in the morning and head to Meru National Park a road safari that will take you about 5 hours. You will enjoy the beautiful sceneries en route such as views of snowcapped Mt Kenya. The road meanders through deep valleys especially after Embu town where you can make several stopovers for sightseeing.
Lunch stopover in Meru or Maua town.
Will be able to view several miraa plantations as well.
Arrive at Murera gate around 3pm. Afternoon will be spent in Meru National Park tracking animals in the bushes.
Dinner and night in the camp.
