Located in the western province of Rwanda, a country of thousand hills, The Congo Nile Trail is a 227 km trail along lake Kivu forming Kivu belt as it extends from Rubavu, continues through Rutsiro, then Karongi, up to Nyamasheke and ends at Rusizi District.

Bumba Base Camp
Bumba base camp is a very basic accommodation block. It's got 4 rooms with basic beds and a separate building has additional rooms. Mostly used by people that hike up and down the Congo Nile trail.

Starting at 7:00 AM, we take a direction to Cyimbiri village, a trip that normally takes between 6 to 7 hours walking. On our way, you will enjoy the beauty of Lake Kivu, especially the landscapes, islands and not forgetting the agricultural activities including banana plantations, coffee, beans, and cassava)
