This short overnight tour is a great chance to get out of the capital and see some wildlife in the Awash National Park – located 225 km east of Addis Ababa.
The park, which takes its name from the Awash River, covers an area of 827 square kilometers and stretches around 30km east to west and a little less from north to south. Once you arrive in the park, you will have two short game drives which will give you a chance to see the local wildlife, such as oryx, baboons, kudu, warthogs, gazelles and colubus monkeys.

Early morning, depart Addis Ababa, driving south through the Rift Valley, then east to the Awash National Park.
Lunch in the park, followed by some rest time.
In the afternoon, take a short game drive through the Ilala Sala Plain in the southern part of the Park. This offers a chance to see the local wildlife, such as oryx, baboons, kudu, warthogs, gazelles and colubus monkeys.
