Hunan Provincial Museum
Hunan Museum is the largest historical and art museum in Hunan and one of the eight key museums in China. It's the best place to learn about the culture of Changsha. Our guide will lead you through the museum's two permanent exhibitions, "The Han Tomb Exhibition of Mawangdui" and "The People of Hunan – An Exhibition of the History and Culture of Hunan." Here, you’ll see the world’s best-preserved wet mummy, Lady Xin Zhui, along with artifacts from the Han Tomb of Mawangdui, Shang and Zhou bronze wares, Chu relics, ceramics from various dynasties, and modern cultural artifacts.

Huogong Palace is a place that blends traditional folk culture, fire temple culture, and culinary culture. Originally built as a temple to the Fire God, Zhulong, the area around it gradually grew into a food hotspot due to the small vendors gathering in front. Kaifu Temple
Kaifu Temple is a thousand-year-old temple located in the busy city center. Built in 927 AD during the Later Tang Dynasty of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, it is one of China’s key Buddhist temples. Locals believe it to be very spiritual, and whether or not they practice Buddhism, people often come here to pray for blessings. You can light incense and offer prayers for your family’s well-being, and if you’re interested, you can draw a fortune stick or buy some unique cultural products and take pictures.

Xiangjiang River Shelterbelt
A night cruise on the Xiang River is the best way to enjoy Changsha's nightscape. The cruise departs from the northern "Three Museums and One Hall" dock and heads south along the river. You’ll see the towering skyscrapers on both banks illuminated by LED light shows, pass by the iconic Orange Isle where you can glimpse the giant Mao Zedong sculpture, and admire the distant view of Yuelu Mountain and its television tower.
