The Angkor Thom South Gate is one of the five main, best-preserved gateways to the ancient city, known for its 12th-century architecture built by King Jayavarman VII. It serves as a popular and impressive entrance, featuring a causeway lined with statues of gods (\(devas\)) and demons (\(asuras\)) pulling a seven-headed \(naga\), a central tower with Bayon-style faces, and large elephant statues at the entrance.
