You will be picked up from your beach hotel early at 6:30 am and depart by road to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Upon arrival, you will have your first game drive, searching for wildlife in the sanctuary. At noon, you will go for lunch at the Taita Hills Resort. After lunch, you will go to the Salt Lick Safari Lodge, check in and relax for about 2 hours.
In the afternoon, you will head out for a game drive in the sanctuary, searching for lions, elephants, ostriches, zebras and other wildlife until sunset. You will return to the Salt Lick Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight. The lodge is memorable for its imaginative structure. These 2-story towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs connected by open-air bridges, create an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind. The structure provides you with a panoramic view of the sanctuary, offering spectacular views of the landscape.
