Itinerary
Day 1
Day 2
CUSCO - SACRE VALLEY - HUCHUY QOSOQ
5 Stops
1
Sacred Valley
Sacred Valley Peru. The Sacred Valley Peru is between the towns of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, parallel to the river Vilcanota. You can access it from the city of Cusco. It is composed of many rivers flowing down gullies and valleys, has numerous archaeological monuments and indigenous peoples.
2
Huchuy Qosco
Huchuy Qosqo was a town located at more than 3,550 m.s. on a small plateau at the top of a mountain. From here you can take beautiful views of the other side of the valley, it is possible to appreciate snow-capped mountains of exuberant beauty such as the snow-capped Pitusiray and at the bottom of this privileged view, the town of Calca.
It is known by the chroniclers that it was the Inca Wiracocha who ordered the construction of the city of Huchuy Qosqo; it is said that in his old age, he felt tired and wished to leave the government and move away from the movement of the capital of the empire of Cusco and seek peace and tranquility in this place.

3
Patabamba
The peasant community of Patabamba (3800 meters above sea level on average) is located in the Coya district, between Cusco and the Sacred Valley, approximately 1 hour from the city of Cusco. The town maintains its traditional style and the distribution of houses is ideal for groups, since the community is not very dispersed, you do not walk more than 5 minutes from house to house. It has a beautiful viewpoint "balcony of the Sacred Valley" from where you have a view of the Urubamba River and the Valley. An hour's walk is the “Qoricocha” lagoon, in the 80s the most important drinking water reservoir for the city of Cusco. From Patabamba there are beautiful hiking trails, for example to the Inka archaeological site called "Huchuy Qosqo".
