Your self-guided walk begins here on Boulevard Paulus Loot, the beach promenade where the Heineken Dutch Grand Prix crowds once gathered. The StepQuests app guides you inland from here toward the 1911 raadhuis and the historic 1939 street-circuit route.

The elegant brick station building, a 1908 rebuild of the original 1881 wooden terminus, sits on a dune shelf on Stationsplein. NS still marks it "Zandvoort aan Zee" on the signs. On Grand Prix weekends this was the gateway used by fans arriving by train; on quiet days it's simply the way most visitors reach the village and the beach.

The tour ends at the gates of the permanent race circuit, opened in 1948 on a dune road once used for military traffic. Grounds are open to walk when there's no event; the track itself is closed to visitors, and race-day tickets are required only during events. A public dune path starts nearby, past the Tarzanbocht corner.
