Kloster Hosios Lukas
Hosios Loukas ist ein historisches, von Mauern umgebenes Kloster in der Nähe der Stadt Distomo in Böotien, Griechenland. Das Kloster wurde Mitte des 10. Jahrhunderts gegründet und ist eines der bedeutendsten Denkmäler mittelbyzantinischer Architektur und Kunst. Seit 1990 ist es zusammen mit den Klöstern Nea Moni und Daphnion auf der Liste des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes.
Das Kloster Hosios Loukas liegt an einem malerischen Ort an den Hängen des Berges Helikon. Es wurde im frühen 10. Jahrhundert n. Chr. vom Einsiedler Ehrwürdiger Lukas von Steiris gegründet, dessen Reliquien bis heute im Kloster aufbewahrt werden.
