The area is also home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Byodoin Temple, known for its beautiful gardens, reflective pond scenery, and the iconic Phoenix Hall featured on Japan’s 10-yen coin, making it one of the country’s most recognizable cultural landmarks.
Byodoin Temple is typically open from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (last admission 5:15 PM). Admission fees are not included in the tour price and are payable on the day if guests choose to enter (approximately ¥700 for adults).
