In this hands-on workshop, participants will discover the beauty of traditional Turkish decorative arts through authentic İznik tile motifs.
The experience begins with a brief introduction to the history and symbolism of classical Iznik patterns, including tulips, carnations, leaves, and other iconic Ottoman designs. Participants will learn how these motifs were traditionally used in Turkish ceramic art and architecture.
Under the guidance of ceramic artist and designer Esra Boz Cetin, guests will transfer selected traditional motifs onto a ceramic cup and learn the techniques used in ceramic surface decoration. They will then paint their designs using ceramic pigments while exploring the ...
