Über uns
Available in EN, FR or IT.
Skip the Peleș and Bran crowds and discover the Wallachia most travelers never find. This private full-day tour from Bucharest visits four extraordinary sites, each built around an obsession darker and stranger than anything on the standard tourist trail.
Stand where Vlad the Impaler actually ruled at Târgoviște's Princely Court — no Hollywood myth, just a medieval warlord who kept the Ottomans at bay through terror. At Hasdeu Castle in Câmpina, enter a 19th-century séance temple built by a grieving scholar desperate to reach his dead daughter. The Little Trianon of Florești reveals what Romanian aristocracy dreamed of before communism erased it all. Mogoșoaia Pa...

1
Universitätsplatz
University Square, Bucharest
The emotional heart of modern Romania — this is where students faced down tanks and soldiers in December 1989, helping bring down one of communism's most brutal regimes. The university buildings lining the square have watched over both dictatorship and revolution. Few city squares in Europe carry this much recent history in such a small space.

2
Schloss Julia Hasdeu
Hasdeu Castle, Câmpina, Romania's most extraordinary monument to grief and the occult.
Built in the late 19th century by scholar B.P. Hasdeu as a spiritualist temple after the death of his daughter Iulia. The castle was designed for séances, with esoteric symbols throughout. One of the least-visited and most emotionally charged buildings in Romania.

3
Domeniul Cantacuzino
Little Trianon, Florești (Prahova), an aristocrat's forgotten French dream in the Prahova Valley.
A neo-classical manor built by Romanian boyar families in deliberate imitation of Versailles — a statement of cultural aspiration that communism later stripped and time has slowly reclaimed. Today its crumbling elegance tells a story Peleș never could: what happened to the aristocratic dream in Eastern Europe after 1947.

Der königliche Hof von Târgoviște
Târgoviște Princely Court & Chindia Tower, where Vlad the Impaler actually governed, not the Dracula myth.
The 15th-century seat of Wallachian rulers. See the Chindia Tower built during Vlad the Impaler's reign and the ruins of the court where he held power. Your guide tells the real political story — no vampire mythology, just medieval power and survival.

Mogosoaia-Palast
Mogoșoaia Palace, lakeside grandeur and a dynasty's tragic finale.
A 17th-century lakeside palace in the Brâncovenesc style, built by Constantin Brâncoveanu — Lord of Wallachia and Martyr of Christianity — who was later executed with his four sons by the Ottomans in 1714. Set on a tranquil lake with parkland, it is one of the most beautiful undervisited palaces in Romania.

Der Triumphbogen
Triumphal Arch, Bucharest.
Bucharest's answer to Paris — a monumental arch built to honor Romanian soldiers returning from World War One, standing at the top of the city's grand Kiseleff Boulevard. A reminder that Bucharest once had very serious Parisian ambitions.
