Our hike up Table Mountain via Kasteelspoort begins at Kloof Nek car park, around 200m above sea level. In the early morning, the route is shaded by the mountain, making it an ideal hiking Table Mountain choice on hot summer days. The trail follows the famous Pipe Track, a contour path above Camps Bay along the western slopes of Table Mountain, offering spectacular coastal views. After roughly an hour, we leave the main trail and veer left onto a path that traverses diagonally across and beneath the Twelve Apostles, part of the Table Mountain range.
