We will depart at 8:00 AM for the Coyoacán neighborhood, a place rich in tradition and tourist attractions. We will make a 45-minute stop to stroll through the Hidalgo and Centenario gardens in the town center and visit the Church and former Convent of San Juan Bautista—one of the oldest in Mexico—where we can admire the interior's Baroque style, including gilded altars and paintings by the Catalan artist Juan Fabregat. We will also visit the former convent's garden to round out this first stop.

We will take a short walk to see the shops and restaurants around the square. It is an iconic neighborhood, featuring cobblestone streets and understated early 20th-century buildings. Visiting on weekends offers the chance to explore the art market and the open-air handicrafts market.

The circular pyramid of Cuicuilco is distinctive for its uniqueness and is one of the oldest in Mesoamerica; here, we will take a short walk and climb the pyramid, from where we can view Ajusco National Park. Little is known about the culture that built it, though it is established that the eruption of the Xitle Volcano caused the population to emigrate, covering a significant portion of this southern part of the city with volcanic rock—a material characteristic of the area.

Touring the Jardines del Pedregal area offers a chance to see one of the city's most exclusive residential neighborhoods, designed by architect Juan Barragán in the 1940s. Its large mansions—fortified with walls made of the volcanic stone characteristic of the area—stand as symbols of opulence.

Ciudad Universitaria—or CU, as it is colloquially known—is home to numerous attractions, such as museums and cultural centers, as well as the Mexico 68 Olympic Stadium, the home ground of the Pumas soccer team. The Rectory building and the Central Library are the most notable landmarks, as they feature works by muralist Juan O'Gorman. In addition to being the largest campus in Latin America, it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Next is a visit to the Anahuacalli Museum, an architectural design by the renowned Mexican painter and muralist Diego Rivera; inspired by pre-Hispanic structures, it houses a vast collection of archaeological artifacts from various regions of Mexico.

You will conclude with a short ride on a boat propelled by a boatman—known as a *trajinera*—at the Cuemanco Ecological Park. This site is a must-visit destination, as it offers a glimpse of what Mexico City was like in pre-Hispanic times, when the primary economic activity was agriculture based on small artificial islets called *chinampas*
