Begin your tour with a private pickup from the Siwa Bus Station or your local hotel. Dive straight into history at the ancient Temple of the Oracle of Amun, a world-famous archaeological site where Alexander the Great was famously declared a god. Head to the heart of the oasis to explore the iconic 13th-century Shali Fortress. Built from a unique traditional material called "karshef" (a mixture of salt, clay, and mud), this labyrinthine medieval city offers a fascinating glimpse into old Siwan life. Hike up to the highest peak of the fortress to witness a spectacular, uninterrupted sunset over the surrounding palm groves and salt lakes.
