Kolosseum
We'll drive and stop by the Colosseum, to admire one of the world-renowned monuments on Earth and one of the most representative of the ancient Rome.
Built in the 1st Century AD, it's actual name is Flavian Amphitheater (Anfiteatro Flavio), after the dynasty name of the emperor Adriano who commissioned its construction, around the year 72 AD.

Located in the valley between the Palatine and Aventine hills, today a public open space, it was the largest structure used for chariot races in Rome, able to accommodate around 250,000 spectators

Known abroad as the "Spanish Steps", it's not Spanish at all. It's actual name is Trinità dei Monti Steps (Scalinata della Trinità dei Monti), the name of the church, built by the French community settled in that area, on top of the Steps. Indeed, Spanish is the square at the bottom of the steps (Piazza di Spagna).

Pantheon
The Pantheon, from the ancient greek Pantheion, the "temple of all the gods", is the best preserved ancient building in Rome. Built in the 3rd decade of the 2nd Century AD under the reign of the emperor Adrian (who allegedly designed it) on the site of an earlier temple, it became a Catholic church since the beginning of the 7th century. It is still in use today.
