Ride a mototaxi to the top for a breathtaking view over the whole city - Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain and the beaches - then walk down through the historic alleys into the beating heart of the community: the home of a local family, the gallery of a favela-born graffiti artist, a community football court, and an Italian NGO active for over 20 years.
