Sacred Valley of the Incas
Your adventure begins with a morning pickup at 8:00 AM from your hotel in Cusco. Our first stop is Chinchero (3,762 masl / 12,343 ft.), a charming town with well-preserved Inca walls, altars, and a lively main square. At a Textile Center, Andean weavers will warmly welcome you, sharing their ancestral dyeing and weaving techniques, passed down for generations.
Traveling through picturesque farmland and Andean villages, we reach Moray (3,500 masl / 11,483 ft.), where circular terraces once served as an Inca agricultural laboratory. We then descend to Maras Salt Mines (3,380 masl / 11,090 ft.), a dazzling landscape of 3,000 salt pools naturally fed by a mineral-rich spring.
In the afternoon, we board a scenic train in Ollantaytambo (2,792 m / 9,160 ft) and journey to Aguas Calientes (2,040 m / 6,692 ft), where you will settle into your hotel upon arrival.
