After an 8:00 am pick-up from your hotel in Munich, we’ll head northwest on a scenic drive of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to the highlight of your day trip – Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Upon arrival, your guide will take you on a one-hour walking tour, sharing the fascinating history of this beautiful town while introducing you to its most iconic landmarks. Following the guided tour, you’ll have approximately 2.5 hours of free time to explore at your own pace. You may wish to climb the Town Hall Tower for spectacular panoramic views, watch the famous Meistertrunk clock performance in the Market Square, visit St. James's Church, explore the Medieval Crime Museum, take memorable photos at the picturesque Plönlein, or browse the renowned Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas Store and Christmas Museum for some unique souvenirs. During your free time, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants, and we’ll be happy to recommend your favourite places to eat.

At approximately 2:00 pm, we’ll depart from Rothenburg ob der Tauber and head south to your second destination – Dinkelsbühl, which we’ll reach after a pleasant 40-minute drive. Upon arrival, your guide will take you on a 30-minute walking tour, introducing you to the town’s charming streets, historic landmarks, and hidden gems. Afterwards, you’ll have some free time to continue exploring on your own, browse the local shops, or simply relax with a cup of coffee and a delicious slice of Bavarian cake while soaking up the atmosphere. We’ll leave Dinkelsbühl at around 4:00 pm and expect to arrive back in Munich at approximately 6:00 pm. As this is a private tour, the itinerary is entirely flexible and always tailored to your preferences. If you’d like for example spend more time in Rothenburg ob der Tauber and skip the Dinkelsbühl, we’ll be happy to accommodate your wishes.
