Über uns
What makes this tour special is the opportunity to get to know Oman personally and honestly. As one of the few Omani guides who speaks fluent German and has lived in Germany for some time, I understand well which topics German-speaking travelers are really interested in.
During the tour, we talk not only about sights, but also about everyday life in Oman : family life, religion, traditions, social values and how people live, work and think here.
Many conversations arise naturally – for example, about education, dealing with each other, or why Oman often seems calmer and more relaxed than other countries in the region.
The tour takes place deliberately privately and without time pressure a...

Große Sultan-Qabus-Moschee
a natural part of our everyday lives.
This shows how closely religion, architecture, tranquillity and social life are linked in Oman.
During the visit, we talk openly about the role Islam plays in daily life, how people in Oman experience tradition and modernity, and why mosques are far more than just places of prayer for many Omanis.
At the same time, you will discover the special atmosphere of the mosque, its clear Islamic architecture and the many craft details – without time pressure and without typical tourist staging.
Many German-speaking guests particularly appreciate the quiet atmosphere and the opportunity to ask questions and get to know Oman in a personal and authentic way.

Königliches Opernhaus
Many German-speaking guests find it interesting to see an opera house like the Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman. Therefore, during the visit we will not only talk about architecture or events, but also about the importance of culture, music and education in modern Oman and their role in the development of society.
For many Omanis, the idea of an opera house in Muscat a few decades ago would have been unusual. Today, however, it is a matter of course part of cultural life in Oman and shows a desire to combine tradition and openness without losing one's own cultural identity.
At the same time, you will discover the tranquil atmosphere of the building, Omani craftsmanship details and the combination of Arabic architecture and modern international influences.

Souk von Mutrah
In Mutrah Souq and Corniche, you can experience a side of Mascot that is still closely connected to people's everyday lives.
Between small shops, the smell of incense and spices, ancient trade routes and the port, there is an impression of how important Mutrah was to Oman's economic and social life for many generations.
During the walk, we talk about how Muscat has changed, why Mutrah still has a special meaning for many Omanis and why many visitors feel the authentic atmosphere of the city here.
At the same time, there is time to observe the calm atmosphere of the Corniche, life at the port and the mix of traditional trade and modern city life in peace.

Al Alam Palast
Walking through Old Mascat around Al-Alam Palace and Al Jalali and Al Mirani fortresses, this part of the city looks almost like another side of Mascat – more tranquil, traditional and more closely connected to Oman’s history.
Between the mountains, the port and the ancient fortresses, we talk relaxed about how Oman has changed in recent decades, why many Omanis have a special connection to this place and what role the Sultan still plays in the daily lives of many people.
Many German-speaking guests find it particularly interesting here how close history, politics and daily life in Oman are to this day.
At the same time, you can experience an atmosphere that is often less touristy than other parts of the city, giving a more personal impression of modern-day Oman.
