Your adventure kicks off before sunrise with a private hotel pickup in Cusco (4–5 am). As we drive through the Sacred Valley toward the Km 82—the official starting point of the Classic Inca Trail—you’ll witness the Andes awakening with the first light of day. We make a short stop in Ollantaytambo, a charming town where you can enjoy an optional breakfast and pick up any last-minute essentials.

Piscacucho
Your adventure begins at Piscacucho, or Km 82 (2,700 m / 8,858 ft), the official gateway to the legendary Inca Trail. Here you’ll meet your passionate trekking team and skilled chef before crossing the checkpoint with your passport and stepping onto history itself. The trail winds along the mighty Urubamba River, where breathtaking views set the tone for the journey ahead. Soon, you’ll detour toward the ancient site of Wilcarakay (2,750 m/ 9,022 ft)

Patallacta
From Willcaracay, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the ancient site of Patallacta, nestled deep in the Urubamba Valley. Your professional guide will bring the Inca world to life with fascinating stories that turn every step into a journey through time. After a short 15-minute descent into the lush Cusichaca Valley, the trail begins to climb steadily toward Huayllabamba. Here, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery and fresh Andean air, you’ll be rewarded with a freshly prepared lunch fuels you for the final ascent to Ayapata camp, a peaceful spot tucked away from the crowds—your first night under the stars of the Andes

After a well-deserved lunch and a short siesta, we begin a rewarding two-hour ascent to Ayapata camp (3,300 m / 10,829 ft). Far from the crowds, this serene hideaway offers your first magical night beneath the star-filled skies of the Andes. Surrounded by crisp mountain air and the silence of ancient trails.
