We begin our adventure with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Our guide and transportation will collect all travelers before starting the journey south of the city toward Cusipata. During the drive, you will leave the urban area of Cusco behind and gradually enter the beautiful Andean countryside, passing traditional communities, agricultural fields, mountains, and valleys. We arrive in Cusipata, where we will stop at a local restaurant to enjoy breakfast before continuing toward the trailhead. This is an important stop to get some energy before beginning the hike to Pallay Punchu. Travelers will have time to eat breakfast, use the restroom facilities, organize their belongings, and prepare everything needed for the trek. After breakfast, we continue by vehicle through the Andean landscape toward the starting point of our hike. After reaching the trailhead, we begin our hike toward Pallay Punchu, one of the most impressive mountain landscapes in the Cusco region. The trail takes us through a remote high-altitude environment surrounded by dramatic mountains and spectacular views of the Andes. As we gain elevation, we will make short stops to rest, enjoy the scenery, and take photographs. Our guide will accompany the group throughout the hike and explain the natural and cultural importance of the area. Upon reaching the main viewpoint, you will have time to admire the distinctive colorful mountain formations that make Pallay Punchu famous. From this high-altitude viewpoint, you can appreciate panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys while your guide provides more information about the geography and local traditions of the region. There will also be free time for photographs and to enjoy the landscape before beginning the hike back to our transportation.
