Reiseplan
1
Shurijo Castle Park
Stroll through the Shuri Castle, the former royal palace of the Ryukyu Kingdom, and discover about 450 years of Ryukyu history at your own pace.
Local guides will walk you through the castle's iconic vermilion-painted gates and halls, sharing fascinating stories about the kings and culture that once thrived here.
Along the way, you'll stop at the best photo spots to capture the stunning architecture up close. Learn how the Ryukyu Kingdom's unique blend of Japanese, Chinese, and Southeast Asian influences shaped its art, ceremonies, and daily life.
With a small group size, you're welcome to ask questions throughout — making the experience as in-depth or easygoing as you like. By the end of the tour, you'll leave with a genuine understanding of what makes Okinawa's history so distinct from the rest of Japan.
No prior knowledge needed — just bring your curiosity and comfortable walking shoes.
