Atombombenmuseum Nagasaki
We’ll visit the Atomic Bomb Museum while listening to the guide’s explanations. Compared to Hiroshima’s museum, it is more compact, less crowded, and has a simple, easy-to-follow layout.
Your guide was born and raised in Nagasaki and is a third-generation atomic bomb survivor, also involved in peace education. Questions and conversation are always welcome.
Let’s experience something you can’t get just from reading online.
Admission is 200 yen (about 1.5 USD) for adults, and free for elementary and junior high school students.
If guests wish to enter the attractions, they need to purchase tickets on site for both themselves and the guide.

Hypocenter Park
Right in front of the Atomic Bomb Museum is Hypocenter Park. We’ll see the memorial monument and part of a church that was destroyed in the blast. You can also view preserved ground layers from the time of the bombing.
If you wish, we can also take a quiet moment for prayer.

Friedenspark Nagasaki
On the way to Peace Park, we’ll stop to see an air-raid shelter from the time of the war. Then we’ll walk through the park, passing the Peace Fountain and monuments donated by countries from around the world.
Finally, we’ll arrive at the iconic Peace Statue, a symbol of Nagasaki and peace, where we can take photos together.

Bahnhof Nagasaki
Let’s enjoy lunch together. We can visit Chinatown, or you can have a special sushi experience at Nagasaki Stadium City.
I’ll suggest options based on your mood and budget for the day. Please let me know in advance if you have any allergies or food preferences.

Beruhige dich
Let’s explore Dejima and learn about Nagasaki’s unique relationship with other countries. During Japan’s isolation period, Nagasaki was the only port open to foreign trade.
You’ll discover the special role Nagasaki played at the time and experience the lasting connections with Portugal, the Netherlands, and China that continue to shape the city today.
Admission is 1,100 yen (about 7.5 USD) for adults, and 550 yen (about 4 USD) for children (elementary, junior high, and high school students).
If guests wish to enter the attractions, they need to purchase tickets on site for both themselves and the guide.
40 Minuten
7
Hamamachi Arcade (Hamanmachi-Einkaufsstraße)
Let’s explore Hamanomachi Arcade and get a feel for local life. We’ll wander through small shops, stationery stores, and places like Don Quijote.
You might even find some unique Nagasaki souvenirs along the way!
If there’s anything special you’d like to buy or are looking for, just let me know—we can try to find it during the tour.

Brillenbrücke (Meganebashi)
Just next to Hamanomachi Arcade is the uniquely shaped Meganebashi (Spectacles Bridge). We’ll take a relaxing walk along the river while talking more about the history of the city.
Along the way, we can also stop by small ice cream shops, cozy coffee spots, or souvenir stores featuring Nagasaki’s famous “Omagari Neko” cats.
20 Minuten
9
Glover-Garten
Let’s head to Glover Garden via a hidden local route. Along the way, we’ll enjoy views of the shipyards and beautiful seasonal flowers.
At the end, we’ll visit a museum dedicated to Nagasaki’s famous Kunchi Festival. You can sit down and watch festival videos there, so it’s also a nice spot to take a short break.
Admission fees are 1,300 yen (about 9 USD) for adults (high school students and above), 650 yen (about 4.5 USD) for elementary and junior high school students, and free for preschool children.
If guests wish to enter the attractions, they need to purchase tickets on site for both themselves and the guide.

Oura-katholische Kirche
Before heading back to the terminal, let’s take photos of Oura Cathedral. Built in 1864, it is the oldest existing church in Japan and a historically significant site known for the “Discovery of Hidden Christians.”
There is also a museum inside, so if you’re interested and we have time, we can go in.
Admission is 1,000 yen (about 7 USD) for adults, 400 yen (about 3 USD) for junior and senior high school students, and 300 yen (about 2 USD) for elementary school students.
If guests wish to enter the attractions, they need to purchase tickets on site for both themselves and the guide.
