This rare geological phenomenon features miniature volcanoes created by natural gases rising from 3,000 meters deep, pushing cold liquid mud to the surface. As the mud dries, it forms a vast, cracked grey crust of "ground fogs" and bubbling craters that offer some of the most unique photography opportunities in Romania.
