From here, travelers can witness the sunrise as it slowly lights up the volcanic mountains and the Sea of Sand below. The viewpoint is known for its clear perspective and less crowded atmosphere compared to other sunrise spots.
King Kong Hill is ideal for photography and for those who want a more relaxed sunrise experience while still enjoying one of the best views in Bromo National Park.

Vulkan Bromo
Mount Bromo is an active volcano and one of the main highlights of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. After enjoying the sunrise from a viewpoint such as Penanjakan or King Kong Hill, the journey continues down to the Mount Bromo area.
From the sunrise viewpoint, guests descend by 4WD jeep into the vast Sea of Sand. The journey continues across the volcanic desert until reaching the base of Mount Bromo.
From the parking area, guests continue either on foot or by optional horse ride (not included) to the stairs leading up to the crater. A climb of several hundred steps takes you to the rim of the active volcano.
At the top, visitors can see the smoking crater surrounded by a dramatic volcanic landscape and mountain views. The atmosphere is cold, windy, and surreal, creating a powerful mix of adventure and natural beauty.
