Arriving at Moraine Lake before sunrise is part of what makes this experience so special. Your guide will bring you directly to the lake in the early morning, well ahead of the crowds, so you can settle in and take in the quiet atmosphere as the first light begins to touch the Ten Peaks. As the sun rises, the landscape gradually comes to life, alpenglow on the mountains, still reflections on the water, and that unmistakable deep turquoise colour Moraine Lake is known for. There’s no rush here. We spend approximately two hours at the lake, giving you time to fully enjoy the setting. During this time, we provide a light continental breakfast along with fresh coffee and tea. Guests can relax along the shoreline, take photos, enjoy a short walk, or simply sit and take it all in. Your guide will also share insights into the area’s geology, history, and wildlife, adding a deeper layer to the experience without taking away from the peacefulness of the morning.

After our time at Moraine Lake, we make our way to Lake Louise, arriving as the morning begins to settle in around the lake. Here, you’ll have approximately two hours to explore at your own pace. Guests are free to walk the lakeshore trail, take in the iconic views from different vantage points, or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings. The shoreline path offers easy access to some of the best photo spots, with plenty of space to wander without feeling rushed. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the historic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, whether that’s stepping inside to warm up with a coffee, exploring the lobby, or taking in the view from the lakeside terrace. This portion of the experience is intentionally unstructured, giving you the freedom to experience Lake Louise in a way that suits you, before we regroup and continue the day.
