We begin our journey with an important visit to Marrakech’s famous Botanical and Artist’s Landscape Garden. Created in 1923 by the French Orientalist painter Jacques Majorelle, this enchanting garden opened to the public in 1947.

Dedicated to the legacy of the legendary French fashion designer, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech (mYSLm) opened its doors in autumn 2017. The museum showcases an exceptional selection from the Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent’s remarkable collection, which includes 5,000 pieces of clothing, 15,000 haute couture accessories, and tens of thousands of sketches and archival items.

After visiting the Majorelle Garden, the Berber Museum, and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, you’ll continue toward Gueliz (pass by). Then, we continue our drive through the ancient walls of the old town, known as the Medina, heading toward the Koutoubia Mosque. Founded in 1147, it is the largest mosque in Marrakech and one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Its impressive minaret has inspired other famous structures, such as the Giralda of Seville and the Hassan Tower of Rabat. It takes its name from the nearby Ben Youssef Mosque, founded by the Almoravid Sultan Ali ibn Yusuf (who reigned from 1106 to 1142).
