Fortress of Lesendro Passing by the historic Lesendro Fortress, you’ll see one of Montenegro’s most important 19th-century fortifications. Often called the “Key of Skadar Lake,” this island fortress played a strategic role in defending the area and provides excellent opportunities for photos and storytelling about Montenegro’s past.
