Dynjandi (Fjallfoss)
Often called the “jewel of the Westfjords,” Dynjandi is one of Iceland’s most breathtaking waterfalls. Cascading down in a wide, tiered curtain, it resembles a bridal veil as it fans out from a narrow top to a broad, powerful base.
The waterfall drops around 100 meters in a series of smaller falls below, each with its own charm, creating a dramatic and ever-changing scene as you walk up the trail. Surrounded by steep mountains and untouched wilderness, Dynjandi offers a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere where the sound of rushing water echoes through the fjord.
It’s not just a sight to see-it’s an experience, combining a short scenic hike with some of the most iconic and photogenic views in the Westfjords.
