"Imi'n' Ifri" means "mouth of the cave" in Berber. This site is a geo-morphological curiosity that is one of its kind in Morocco, and it provides shelter to many birds. The Iwariden region includes three important dinosaur trackway sites: • Iroutlane-Iwariden • Aït Mimoun Ufellah • Jebel Bruna The Iroutlane site, first reported in 1937 by geologists Plateau, Giboulet, and Roch, features superb theropod dinosaur trackways with perfectly imprinted three-toed footprints on large slabs of red ochre colour spread over approximately two hectares. Even if we consider, as is likely, that the sauropod must have slipped on very wet mud at this location, thus increasing the normal surface area of its footprints, it must be admitted that this trackway is exceptional and provides valuable information about the gait of these giants of the Atlas Mountains.
