Die antike Stadt Hoi An
Hoi An Ancient Town, located about 30 km south of Da Nang, is one of Southeast Asia’s best-preserved historic port towns. Once a thriving international trading hub in the 17th and 18th centuries, it welcomed merchants from Japan, China, and the West, creating a unique cultural blend.
Today, the town features narrow streets lined with traditional houses dating from the 17th to 19th centuries, showcasing a mix of architectural influences. Rich in culture and history, Hoi An was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1999.
