Asprokremmos Dam is one of the largest dams in Cyprus, set within a dramatic, open landscape. Asprokremmos Dam was constructed between 1978 and 1982, and officially opened in December 1982 as part of Cyprus’ water development projects. It is an earth-fill dam standing about 53 m tall with a crest length of approximately 700 m, creating a reservoir with a capacity of around 52.4 million m³ of water — the second largest in Cyprus.
