Depending on the water level – the Port of Hamburg is a tidal harbour – the launches and ships sail to the most beautiful and interesting corners of the Port of Hamburg: UNESCO World Heritage Speicherstadt with its canals (depending on the tide), Hafencity, Elbphilharmonie concert hall, many well-known and unknown bridges, locks and container terminals, the large docks of Blohm + Voss, container ships, cargo ships and much more is waiting to be explored. Of course, not without expert information from your skipper (in German). You might even pick up a few sailor’s yarns along the way.

The Panoptikum in Hamburg presents international stars, sports legends, politicians and historical figures. In Germany's oldest wax museum, you can experience the celebrities of our time up close. It has been located on the Reeperbahn for over 130 years and is run by the Faerber family.
The more than 120 wax figures include not only current celebrities, but also long-standing celebrities who want to be admired by fans young and old. Many familiar faces from film and music can be discovered on the journey through the wax museum. Madonna and Michael Jackson show off their skills and Elvis Presley also pays a visit.

Alsterseen
Experience Hamburg from the water! With the Hamburg City Pass, you can see the Jungfernstieg and the skyline of Hamburg’s city centre from a new perspective: from the Alster. The oldest and only remaining genuine Alster steamer, the "St. Georg" from 1876, takes you on a round trip. In the traditional and cosy steamer, the Alster round trip takes you across the Inner Alster, under the Lombards Bridge and onto the Outer Alster. The crew, consisting of the captain, engineer and conductor, will take you back in time on the faithfully restored steamboat.

The BallinStadt Emigration Museum in Hamburg offers its visitors a fascinating journey into the history of the emigration of millions of people from Europe to the New World in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The museum is housed in a historic building complex and is a major attraction for history buffs, tourists and families alike.
Named after Albert Ballin, a visionary German shipowner of the early 20th century who made a major contribution to the development of passenger shipping, the BallinStadt Emigration Museum opened its doors in 2007. The museum's location on the River Elbe, close to Hamburg's historic emigration halls, emphasises the city's importance as one of Europe's most important emigration ports.

Deutsches Hafenmuseum - Standort Schuppen 50A
On the grounds around the historic 50s sheds, you can learn all about an important period in the port’s history with the help of original tools and vehicles: the time of goods handling before the introduction of the container. In the former free port, on the last listed quay ensemble of the imperial era, huge cranes tower into the sky, historic goods wagons stand on the original rails of the harbour railway and a floating crane from 1917, a steam suction hopper from 1909, the general cargo freighter "MS Bleichen" and other historic watercraft lie in the harbour basin. The most impressive large-scale object among these weighty contemporary artefacts is the four-masted barque PEKING, which is over 100 years old.
The display depot in the southern part of Shed 50A also houses around 10,000 objects on the subjects of harbour work, cargo handling, shipbuilding and shipping on around 2,500 square metres.

The International Maritime Museum Hamburg was founded by Peter Tamm Jr., a passionate collector of maritime artifacts. Since its opening in 2008, the museum has been housed in a former quayside warehouse, which itself has a rich maritime history. The architecture of the building and its location on the edge of the harbor contribute to the authentic atmosphere of the museum.
