Start your Colca Canyon excursion very early at 3:00 am. We will pick you up from your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to begin the journey along the Yura road toward Chivay, a charming town located at 3,600 meters above sea level.

Arrive at the famous Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint where you will witness the majestic flight of the Andean condor soaring above one of the world’s deepest canyons, reaching depths of up to 3,400 meters. Learn about the canyon’s geology, rich biodiversity, and its cultural significance to local communities.

On the return journey, stop at the Antahuilque and Choquetico viewpoints to observe ancient pre-Inca agricultural terraces and their irrigation systems. Enjoy unique panoramic views of the Colca Valley and discover its fascinating history.

Hot Springs and Lunch in Chivay Relax in natural hot springs with water temperatures around 38°C (100°F), enjoying therapeutic benefits amid stunning Andean scenery. Afterwards, savor a delicious buffet lunch featuring typical regional dishes.

On the way back to Arequipa, stop at the Patapampa viewpoint at 4,910 meters above sea level to admire spectacular views of volcanoes such as Ampato, Sabancaya, and Hualca Hualca. Then visit the Tocra wetlands (bofedales) to spot diverse Andean bird species and native wildlife including llamas and alpacas in their natural habitat.
