Today marks the beginning of your safari adventure as you depart Arusha—the gateway town to Northern Tanzania’s national parks. Travelling along the scenic Arusha–Dodoma highway, you’ll pass through the picturesque Maasai Steppe on your way to Tarangire National Park. If needed, we’ll make a brief stop at a local supermarket for any last-minute personal items. After approximately two hours, you’ll arrive at Tarangire, where your driver-guide will handle park registration while you stretch your legs. You’ll then embark on your first game drive through Tarangire’s iconic landscapes, known for its towering baobab trees and impressive elephant herds. Lunch will be served at a designated picnic site, followed by afternoon game drives until sunset. In the evening, you’ll head to Karatu for dinner and overnight at a comfortable mid-range lodge such as Africa Safari Lodge or Country Lodge Karatu. Lunch and Dinner Included.
