The Cu Chi Tunnels, once part of the fierce “Iron Triangle,” formed an extensive underground network used as a vital military base during the Vietnam War. Once a heavily bombed and devastated area, Cu Chi now stands as a remarkable symbol of resilience and Vietnamese ingenuity—a living museum that preserves both history and culture. In the afternoon, we depart Cu Chi for My Tho. The drive takes about two hours, with a stop at a local restaurant for lunch along the way

Arriving in My Tho, you’ll board a boat and cruise along peaceful, coconut-lined canals toward a small island in Ben Tre. After landing, we take a short walk through the village, where a local family welcomes you with fresh tropical fruits, honey tea, honey wine, and traditional Vietnamese folk music. We then continue to a coconut candy workshop to see how the sweets are made and browse handcrafted coconut products. As we stroll deeper into the village, you’ll pass fruit orchards, flowers, and traditional homes—an authentic glimpse into the tranquil countryside of the Mekong Delta.
