For over 50 years, Kobo Noyori has dedicated itself to crafting Kazarikanagu, the finely detailed decorative metal fittings that form an essential part of this heritage.
Prior to the hands-on experience, guests are introduced to the history of Owari Butsugu, its traditional craftsmanship, and the meticulous process of creating Kazarikanagu. Owari Butsugu are traditional crafts that have been produced in and around Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture since the early Edo period. Among their most delicate techniques is Kazarikanagu—ornamental metal fittings meticulously crafted for Buddhist altars, Shinto ritual objects, and ceremonial furnishings.
For over 50 years, Noyori Workshop has remained dedicated to the creation of these Kazarikanagu, preserving skills passed down through generations.
