Clingmans Kuppel
If we were making this hike, say, 500 million years ago, things would have looked a lot different. For one thing, there would be no dome here at all!
Note: The tour is over 0.6 miles long, with more than 10 audio stories, and takes about 1-2 hours to complete.
New, Lifetime access, no expiry. Use it anytime, on any trip, as many times as you want.

Besucherkontaktstation Clingmans Dome
The stone building to our right is the Clingmans Dome Visitor Contact Station. If you need the restroom or a snack before your journey, stop in here.
The building dates back to the 1930s, when President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was in office. It was part of FDR’s New Deal plan, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
