Centennial Park: An oasis in the middle of the bustle of downtown Cartagena, opened in 1911 to commemorate 100 years of independence. Among centuries-old trees, sculptures and squirrels that are visible, it is the perfect place to rest, refresh and feel the local life.

Trinity Square : The heart of the Gethsemane neighborhood, surrounded by colorful houses and urban art. Here was born popular resistance in the independence of Cartagena and today it vibrates every night with music, street cuisine and an authentic local atmosphere.

The Customs Square is the largest and one of the oldest in Cartagena. Surrounded by colorful colonial balconies, it was the center of commerce in Spanish times and today is an ideal point to start your historical tour.

St. Peter's Square Claver is opposite the church of the same name, in honor of the holy defender of slaves. It is a place full of art, sculptures and history, ideal to enjoy the colonial atmosphere of Cartagena.

Proclamation Square, next to Cartagena Cathedral, was the scene of official events and historic celebrations. Today it is an open and photogenic space that connects colonial history with modern city life.

Plaza Santo Domingo is one of the liveliest and most charming in Cartagena. Surrounded by restaurants and live music, it stands out for Botero’s famous “Gertrude” sculpture and its bohemian atmosphere ideal for enjoying the Carthage night.

The Plaza de los Cars marks the entrance to the Walled City, right in front of the Clock Tower. In colonial times it was a slave market and a commercial center; today it preserves its colorful portals and the famous portal of sweets.

The Clock Tower is the main symbol of Cartagena and the gateway to the Walled City. Built in the 17th century, it was the original entrance to the city and today welcomes those who begin their historical journey.

The Martyrs’ Camellon connects the Clock Tower with Centennial Park. This expansive walk pays homage to Cartagena’s independence heroes and offers an ideal view of the walls and bay.

The Caribbean Jewelry Store & Emerald Museum is located on Calle 5, in Cartagena’s Historic Center. It is a fascinating place where you can get to know the extraction and carving process of Colombian emeralds, as well as admire and acquire unique pieces.
