Morning pickup in Marrakech Your driver and guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech in the morning. After a short briefing, you’ll leave the city and head south toward the High Atlas Mountains. Drive through the Asni Valley As the road climbs into the foothills, the landscape changes from the red plains around Marrakech to green valleys, orchards, and stone villages. The air becomes cooler and the pace of life slows. Stop in Asni (Saturday market if applicable) If your visit falls on a Saturday, you will stop in the town of Asni to explore the weekly rural market. Farmers and villagers from the surrounding mountains gather here to trade vegetables, grains, tools, textiles, and livestock. If it is not market day, you will still pause briefly to experience the atmosphere of the village.

anoramic view of the Atlas Mountains Continuing the drive, you’ll stop at a scenic viewpoint where the peaks of the High Atlas rise above the valley—an ideal place to take in the landscape and capture photos. Arrival in Imlil and guided hike Upon arrival in Imlil, you will meet your local mountain guide and begin a gentle hike of approximately two hours. The walk follows traditional mule paths through terraced fields, walnut groves, irrigation channels, and small stone villages. You’ll move at a relaxed pace, stopping to observe gardens, homes, and everyday village life along the way. Lunch with a local Amazigh family in Armed At the end of the hike, you will reach the hillside village of Armed. Here, you’ll be welcomed into a family home for a traditional lunch prepared with local ingredients. The meal typically includes fresh bread, seasonal vegetables, olive oil, and a warm tagine, followed by mint tea.

Return to Marrakech After lunch, you’ll walk back down to Imlil where your driver will be waiting. From there, you’ll begin the return journey to Marrakech, arriving back at your accommodation in the late afternoon or early evening.
