Your tour guide and driver will pick you up in the lobby of your Beijing hotel, heading directly to Tian'anmen Square. Tian'anmen square is the world’s largest public square, it is the home to the National Museum of China, the mausoleum of Mao Zedong and the great Monument to the Peoples’ Heroes. From there you will pass through the South gate to the magnificent Forbidden City - a 250-acre complex of courtyards, palaces, pavilions and gardens, which served as the imperial palace for emperors and their households for more than 500 years. The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987. See ancient treasures from thousands of years of history and admire the maze of palaces, gardens and stunning courtyards as your guide informs you about their histories and stories.

Afterward, enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch in the local restuarnat. Then relax on the 1.5 hours drive to Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. It's is a bit more rugged and slightly less crowded than more famous Badaling section of the Wall. Over 96% of Mutianyu is covered with trees and orchards.
