Day 1
Day 2
Cappadocia’s Timeless Essence: Surreal Valleys, Fairy Chimneys, Ancient Pottery Traditions & UNESCO World Heritage Sites
6 Stops
1
Pasabaglari Muze ve Orenyeri
Meet your dedicated private guide and professional chauffeur in the lobby of your hotel approx 10 minutes before departure. Throughout the day, you will travel in the comfort of a brand-new, luxurious private van, with your chauffeur taking care of the driving while your guide remains fully focused on you, the region and the experience. Your preferred departure time will be arranged together by phone the day before for a relaxed, flexible day.
From your hotel, set out to discover Cappadocia with your first visit to Paşabağları, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Cappadocia’s most striking geological wonders. Here, millions of years of erosion have sculpted the soft volcanic rock into a spectacular forest of mushroom-shaped formations known as fairy chimneys. Rising dramatically from the valley floor, these monumental natural forms have become one of the defining symbols of Cappadocia and offer an extraordinary introduction to the geological forces that created the region.

2
Devrent Valley
Continue to Devrent Valley, evocatively known as “Imagination Valley.” This is one of the region’s most surreal landscapes - a sculptural world shaped entirely by nature, where wind and water have transformed the volcanic terrain into an extraordinary collection of naturally formed figures.
Take a leisurely walk through the valley with your private guide and allow your imagination to interpret the shapes emerging from the rocks. Among the best-known formations are those resembling a camel, snake, seals and dolphin, although part of the pleasure lies in discovering your own figures within this remarkable lunar landscape.

Avanos
From Cappadocia’s natural wonders, turn to its living traditions with a visit to Avanos, a historic town set along the banks of the Kızılırmak, or Red River, the longest river flowing entirely within Türkiye. Avanos has long been associated with craftsmanship, particularly pottery and weaving, traditions through which generations of local artisans have expressed their creativity, skill and relationship with the land.
Suggested lunch break at an atmospheric local restaurant, with pottery kebab highly recommended as a must-try Cappadocian specialty. Beef or chicken with vegetables is slow-cooked in a sealed clay pot, which is brought sizzling to the table and cracked open before you—a delicious touch of local theatre. Lunch is not included in the tour price, giving you complete freedom to choose whatever you wish from the menu, select another restaurant, or simply skip lunch if you prefer.

4
Avanos Pottery Workshop
The town’s celebrated red-earthenware pottery tradition reaches back to the Bronze Age and the time of the Hittites. For thousands of years, local potters have drawn the distinctive red clay from the banks of the Kızılırmak and shaped it by hand on traditional kick wheels, transforming this humble material into elegant functional and decorative pieces.
Visit a pottery studio housed within a cave complex, where you will watch experienced artisans demonstrate this centuries-old technique. You will also have the opportunity to sit at the traditional wheel and try shaping a piece of clay yourself - an engaging encounter with one of Cappadocia’s oldest living crafts.
1 Stunde
5
Cavusin
After lunch, continue to Çavuşin Village, one of Cappadocia’s most visually distinctive settlements. At the heart of the village rises an extraordinary sight: a dramatic cliffside complex carved directly into the rock, often referred to as the old village or Çavuşin Castle.
This labyrinth of abandoned cave houses and rock-cut dwellings was once home to a sizeable Greek Orthodox community, who lived here until the 1923 population exchange between Greece and Türkiye. Turkish families later settled in the village, but by the 1950s the old settlement was gradually abandoned once again because of the danger posed by falling and unstable rock.
Today, the weathered façades, empty dwellings and towering cliff face form one of Cappadocia’s most evocative historic landscapes, offering a striking glimpse into the layers of community life that once shaped the village.

6
Goreme Open-Air Museum
Conclude the day at the Göreme Open Air Museum, part of Cappadocia’s UNESCO World Heritage landscape and one of the most important ensembles of rock-cut Christian architecture and medieval religious art in the world.
Once a flourishing monastic complex, Göreme contains churches, chapels and living spaces carved directly into the volcanic rock. Step inside these remarkable sanctuaries to discover interiors adorned with vivid frescoes and painted ornamentation depicting biblical narratives, saints and scenes of devotion that have survived across the centuries.
Among the highlights is the celebrated Dark Church, whose exceptionally preserved frescoes reveal the extraordinary artistry and spiritual world of medieval Cappadocia. Carefully restored, its richly decorated interior remains one of the finest surviving examples of Byzantine rock-cut church painting in the region.
Upon the conclusion of the day, you will dropped off to your hotel.
