Durga temple also known as the Monkey temple due to the presence of huge number of monkeys is situated in the Durga Kund, Varanasi. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Durga. It was built in the 18th century. Durga temple was constructed by a Bengali Maharani in the north Indian Style with multi-tiered shikhara. Manikarnika Ghat - The World famous Cremation Ground needs no introduction. You will start walking towards it from the last parking area. In this place you will see how human body is turned into ashes in just a few hours . You will closely see the end of life here which will give you goosebumps .
