There’s no better way to learn about the history and culture of a community than to eat its food. On our Newfoundland Food Tour, you will walk and eat your way through downtown St. John’s. Newfoundland and Labrador has one of the most unique food cultures in Canada. Long known for seafood, wild game, and delicious traditional meals, the province has a long list of mouth-watering ingredients and recipes. From a CFA finding success selling beloved Newfoundland pastry to a haunted pub that inspired a TV set to a former fruit stand literally built on the ashes of the Great Fire, we’ll explore the people, stories, and food that make the city unique. Come hungry! If you arrive gut-foundered, by the time we finish our walk, you’ll be stogged. Wir machen Halt bei drei verschiedenen Brauereien und Bars, um Geschichten und Erzählungen zu hören und 7 Proben von hier gebrautem Bier zu probieren. Unterwegs unterhält Sie Ihr Reiseleiter mit Geschichten über die Prohibition und die damit verbundenen Gangster, eine zufällige Entdeckung eines Portweins und die lokale Bierverbindung zu Jimmy Kimmel. Darüber hinaus geben Ihnen unsere lokalen Reiseleiter einen Schnellkurs zum Verkosten von Craft-Bieren und teilen dabei ihr Wissen, ihre Empfehlungen und persönlichen Anekdoten darüber, wie St. John’s zu der Stadt wurde, die sie heute ist.

Downtown’s Old Haunts is a journey into Newfoundland’s Creepy Culture, exploring the history, superstitions, tragedies, and strange experiences that linger to weave frights and folklore through some of the oldest streets in North America. Meet us at historic Erin’s Pub early to grab a drink and check-in. We’ll make two more pub stops along the way before ending the night at the Newfoundland Embassy, where amazing local music awaits you.
