You will be hosted by a Berber family who has inherited the pottery handcraft from their ancestors. You will learn about the lifestyle of the Berbers of the Rif as well as learn the process of pottery making. Additionally you will learn how to make your own objects

You will be among a group of women weavers willing to share the know how inherited from the ancestors. You will learn to make a beautiful Berber blanket, shawl or apron.

Have you ever looked at a beautifully woven item and thought, “I wish I could create something like that?” then this class is for you. First we will start with an introduction to the Moroccan artisanal and especially the wool while drinking a mint tea and having local cookies. Then you’ll practice in a traditional Moroccan loom with a the professional and friendly Maalem for 30 minutes to learn basic weaving terminology and techniques. Even you can spend more time with us if you want to make your own tissue and taking it back home. Please note that a piece of 1 m² takes about 4 hours to be made. Normally the activity takes about an hour and a half depends on the guests needs.

With the help of a native host, you will learn how to draw Islamic geometry patterns on wood. A local artisan will lead you through all the process. You will go home with a souvenir and a piece of art of your creation.
